From the moment you stepped in, you felt you’d remember this night forever.

Seeing you enter, a middle-aged man with long, thick dreadlocks and a glowing cigarette in his mouth sized you up.
“Don’t take a cab back,” he said casually, pulling the joint from his lips. “That’s what the detective said. He was hanging around here for over a month, but I haven’t seen him in a week.”
“Wonder if he’ll come back,” he added, exhaling smoke.

It was one of those strange, random conversations you only recall later—when they suddenly seem eerily relevant.
But for now, that doesn’t matter. What matters is having a good time, so party through half the night—or longer…

Thick, gray clouds seem to hang just above your heads. The warm glow of an old lantern lights the street’s darkness. Moments later, the area is flooded with a bright, almost blue flash, followed by the crack of thunder.
